Dinner Time (Salmon is good, even at HP):
This guy is a donk and was a very nice guy but explained to me that he lost over $2 million playing Pan-9. He eventually got plastered and lost all his money to us:
Still Growing:
Then I won an all-in against the other big stack at the table. It was a very interesting hand. I guess I'll post details after the pictures:
Turn 'em white and head home:
So here it is:
$200 buy-in No Limit table, blinds are $3/5.
I (Hero) have about $1100 behind.
The other big stack (Villain) has about $1250 behind. All other stacks are between $100-$400.
I have 8h9h in early position. I raise to $15.
Six callers, including Villain and Donkey.
Flop is 7h10dJd. Bingo.
Because there are seven people in the hand, I value bet the nuts for $50 expecting a raise from either AJ, 10J, diamond draw, KJ, KQ, etc.
Villain calls.
Donkey goes all-in for $25 more, not enough for me to re-raise.
I call, Villain calls.
Turn: 10h.
I bet $100. Villain raises to $300.
Right here I became very wary. I really do not want to lose my whole stack on this hand and it's looking like that is what it's going to come down to. I eventually made the decision that he does not have a full house. If he had a set or two pair I'm pretty sure that he would have raised me on the flop with five others in the hand. Thus, I can't put him on the full house here and I decide to move all in. He clearly wasn't expecting this but he called pretty quickly. Now I'm somewhat worried with the quick call but I still have two outs if need be with the Qh or 7h.
River: Qc.
Donkey shows KJ, Villain shows A-10 and I win.
However, the rest of the weekend did not go as well as I lost $900 on Sunday. Very frustrating day.
So for the weekend I was +733 at the tables, although I treated everyone to pizza during the USC game and that hit me kind of hard lol. Then I bought a bottle of Moet on Saturday night at the club and that hit me too. I.m.life.donk.
