Day 25: BR is @ 11k...WTF?!

Yesterday felt like five and a half hours of chip stacking.

I got to Hollywood Park and there was only one $400 game running so I sat down at a $200 no limit table. As soon as I sit down, the kid in seat one tells me the game is crazy. The guy in the eight seat proceeds to go all-in my first two hands, winning the first and losing the second.

The eight seat short buys for $100 and I have 99 in the big blind. I raise to $30, seat eight calls. Flop comes J-6-7. I bet $40, he goes all in. I call and he has JQ and I turn the nine. Very next hand I have kings and I raise to $40. Three callers. Flop comes J-4-3. I bet $75. Two callers and one all-in. WTF? Turn misses all draws and I go all-in and one guy calls with A-J and I win a big pot, now I’m up over $450 at the $200 table in like 15 minutes.

I take the money and run to the $400 table. About three hands into it I pick up tens on the button and raise to $60. The Australian kid in the small blind (who busted out of the World Series Main Event on day 1 and is waiting for his connecting flight from Vegas to Australia) calls. The flop comes 7-7-T. I figure this is a bad flop because it couldn’t have hit him, so I bet a weak $50. He thinks for a while and calls. The turn is a jack and I bet $50 again and he goes all-in. I call and he has 9-7 of clubs.

I went up $600 twice and told myself to leave because that left me up a G-note on the day but I didn’t leave because there were a couple weak old players who I knew would call me down all day. But the problem was I bluffed off over $300 to a girl that sat down and I was back down to $300. I doubled twice and then hit a flush and was up to like $1500. All three hands were against the two old guys that I knew would call me down. One hand I had a set of fives, the second hand I had king-five for two-pair vs. king-ten. Then I had AQ against A-6 and won another $400 pot.

This run I’m on is pretty sick and I’m enjoying it. I’m convinced that my specialty is controlling the size of the pot and reading what a player is willing to do against me. Basically I don’t pay them off and they pay me off.

The transition to the $400 game has gone extremely well after three sessions. I’ve made $163.33/hr. over 15 hours so far.

**Damn I just added up the numbers and I passed the five figure mark. This is crazy, inexcplicable, preposterous, astronomical. I guess after getting caught up in the daily updates I didn't realize that I was that close to 10k. Wow. And the best part is I hit 11k in the bankroll...exactly. How weird is that?

Here’s my text conversation with Corner Sleeper:

6:39 p.m. Me: Start 200
6:51 p.m. Me: Up 450 already LOL
6:52 p.m. Me: 12 mins@450 equals 2250/hr lol
7:10 p.m. CS: Solid come up.

7:37 p.m. Me: Up 400 TT raise to 60 one call flop T77 other guy has 97
9:27 p.m. Me: This game is crazy. Went all the way back down to 300 then doubled twice in one round. Fuck.

In celebration of passing the 10k mark, I'm adding captions to photos. Yaddadamean!!
