These are text messages that Daniel Negreanu was sending his assistant last night from his World Series of Poker Event:
9:47 PM - "On dinner break about 20 of us are meeting with a make a wish kid. Edog (Erik Lindgren) offers me a prop bet: next one to shuffle their chips loses $5000..."
9:52 PM - "5 seconds later he explains the bet to Grinder (Michael Mizrachi) and Grinder says what you mean shuffle? So Eric shows him! Lol"
10:41 PM - "Back to the action. Now we have that bet three ways with Ivey and Edog"
11:05 PM - "Ivey just shuffled his chips! Now he wants to do it for 100k. Erick and I are still on for 10(k). Up 15(k) so far"
It must be nice when you can prop bet 5k (or 100k) on who is going to shuffle their chips next. Although I would probably lose a lot of cash making that bet. One Monday morning at work my right hand hurt like hell and I could not figure out why it hurt so badly. Then I realized I had played poker for 15 hours straight Friday night to Saturday afternoon and had been shuffling my chips the whole time with my right hand. I am E-dee-It.
