I guess this is kind of an annual thing now.
So maybe this should be, "The 2nd Annual Kev's Road to the WSOP."
Last year I had built up a roll of I believe about $2500 or so to head to the WSOP. I planned on playing in a $1500 NLHE event but didn't get there in time and didn't want to be wait listed so I played cash games at the Venetian instead and did well.
This year I've already taken the week off from work. The first week of the WSOP is also during my birthday (6/2) so it looks like I'll be in Vegas during my birthday week, trying to make myself a millionaire.
I also have a friend who has a lot of room comps so I'm good on the room in Vegas. Not to mention I have a buddy at Hertz Rent-A-Car so I'm good with the rental.
So now I have the room, the car and the time off from work and I'm only missing one thing.
Money.
That's why today I'm officially starting the "Kev's Road to the WSOP" fund.
Don't worry -- I'm not asking for money.
The only contributor to this fun will be myself, through my play. Hopefully it goes well but as we all know, it could go in the opposite direction *knock on wood*.
It's go time.

Good luck, son.
Best of luck Kev.
Make sure to ship me some memorabilia from all your final tables, lol.
Thanks y'all. I'm trying! haha.
