Poker Game Feeling Strong

Even though I lost in my last trip to the tables, my game is feeling strong.

I've won 5 out of my last 6 sessions and to be honest the sixth session should have been a win as well.

I was up five hundy after being in for seven and really started playing bad due to a couple bad beats and severe exhaustion.

The first bad beat I had KK and got one caller on my raise. The flop came J-6-4 rainbow and I bet. The guy on the button went all-in for like $160 more, I called and he had jacks.

The second bad beat was my fault, kind of. I have pocket queens and I know there is one loose calling station at our table so I rasied it up a lot to isolate him. He obviously is the only caller and the flop comes K-Q-x with two hearts. He checks to me and I think about betting but I'd rather trap so I check. The turn is a jack of hearts, which puts the flush out there but I'm just hoping that this guy has two pair. He bets a small amount, I raise and he goes all-in for another $200. I call and this is definitely a spot where I could have folded, but based on the guy I was playing I'm calling all day long. He shows A-10 off-suit for the broadway straight and I miss on the river.

After that it was all down hill and not only was I pissed at myself for taking the L instead of the dub, but for the fact that I planned to leave around midnight and stayed until 3 a.m. Had I left at midnight, I would have walked away a winner.

I've been working on the new website and it's almost ready. I just need to put together the home page and a few other odds and ends.
