Well here's my 100th post
If you're not impressed with it, I am.
Just playing. But I remember when I did my first post "Welcome To The Backdoor Straight" and asked people what they thought. Some people didn't understand the poker terminology but still thought it was funny. Some people thought it was funny but doubted that I could keep it up on a daily (or somewhat daily) basis. So I'm glad that I have kept it up and although a lot of posts are definitely more boring than others, the amount of readers has definitely grown and I hope that my writing and posts will get better and more interesting as my life progresses.
So sincerely I'd like to thank everyone that takes the time to read this 'blog' about my life.
You've laughed at me, thought I was an idiot, been happy for me, been mad at me for the stupid things I do, and maybe even been impressed with me at times. Okay maybe not that much, but at least you may have thought "good for Kevin, he actually did right this time," or something along those lines.
I'm trying to maintain a good balance of poker and life in general.
A lot of people tell me that I could have my own reality show and that might be the case, but a lot of things that happen to me in life I can't put on this blog. It's just too public and I wish that I could but due to me posting pictures and other things, I just can't put everything on here, so unfortunately some of the best stuff isn't on here. Although I have considered it many times. Some things make for great stories but when they put other people on front street, I have left them off. When it comes to myself, I can put everything on blast. Okay I'm lying. Not everything.
For those that don't know, when I was 18 I became very passionate about writing and decided to major in journalism at USC. After I graduated from SC, I worked in high school sports for the L.A. Times but burned out on minimal writing for extremely low pay. So it's nice for me to be back writing, even if it is just an online blog. So I appreciate you reading this (Props to Big Time for getting me started, KK, D'Andre, Joke the male whore, Defi-nitely drunker than me, and Corner Sleeper for reading loyally, JD, Amanda, anyone else at WAMU lol, Young V for being a great friend, "Daddy Poker" and "TekMo," the FCP Army and everyone else that reads).
Cheers to 100, I really feel like I accomplished a lot in terms of poker and even managed to write some decent stories for anyone who reads. There is a lot of room for improvement in all areas for me and in my heart I believe that is truly a beautiful thing. With my 101st post I'm going to list some goals to set for myself by post #200 (I have to assume that gives me at least 200 days to accomplish the goals).
I wish everyone the best and again thank you for reading.
With that said, I'm going to leave you guys with a song I did called "Where I'm At," that is pretty much my self-defining song (pre-poker and right after college).

i enjoy reading your blog because it's so different then any other blog out their.. brain townsend only talks about poker, tucker max only talks about getting laid by psychotic women (great storys tho) and yours has a good mixture about poker, women, and sports..keep doing your thing bro.

Wait, wait, wait ... 'male whore'? You sonofabitch. At least call me a stripper magnet or something.
I'm making a guest appearance in this thing if it kills me. Me, you and Nolan in Vegas again? Hmmmmm ...
Drunker? How dare...you......say...........
...fuck it, you're right.
Congrats on 100.
I have to say I'm very proud of you. 100 is a beautiful thing!!! I used to think some of your stories were a bit fabricated until I had the chance to experience and even was a part of a few wild nights (The berries-ice story with Scarie Cherie-CLASSIC!!!). Keep doing your thing and stay focused. You're a success already. You still have to come to Texas and visit the kid.
nice..congrats on 100.
this kinda sounds like an editorial from XXL or something.
glad to see you're able to stay writing, you got talent, even coming from FQ.
