Here are the details:
Each of the three participants is in for $50.00.
The dates are today, August 27, 2007 to October 10, 2007 (45 days).
Here are our starting weights:
Alan: 214 (t-shirt, jeans, no shoes)
Kevin: 211.5 (t-shirt, jeans, shoes)
Tony: 251.5 (t-shirt, shorts, shoes)
The one easy out for each of us is that if anyone loses 15 lbs+ then they do not have to pay. I know it's small money but it's motivation.

I just have to vent real quick. Girls are crazy. Every single one. Okay I'm done venting.

The rest of this blog is poker-only material so it'll really bore those that don’t know or care about poker.

Last week Bodog emailed me the following:
This is somewhat good news because I just set up my new room and I'm feeling the way it's set up with the computers facing the television, etc. Before my computer was facing the opposite direction of the computer and my back would hurt because I'd be sitting facing the computer but twisted towards the television. Anyways wtf am I talking about.
So I haven't played on Bodog in over six months and I forgot how bad the play was.
My account is now at $720.00 and I'm hoping to get it a lot healthier than that.
Here is a hand that was a lot of fun, definitely a solid flop for me lol. The other guy ended up having poket kings and I avoided the four-outer:
I've been playing strictly cash games on bodog, mostly $1/2 NL (I know, my br is not fit for that level, I'm on a freeroll here). I played one $20 sit n go with my boy and got my aces cracked by Jack-10 off (this would be a weekend theme).

Full Tilt
Last week I was waiting for my Bodog $50 to get credited to my account and out of my own impatience, deposited $50 into Full Tilt. It's been going pretty well and I'm at like $285 now. I've been killing the sit n go's but lost $80 in a cash game. What's been working for me is playing the Full Tilt sit n go's and the Bodog cash game at the same time, one of each. I really don't spend too much time playing on the computer so it looks like not much but I play like one sit n go a day or maybe 1-3 and have been running well. Last night I played two head's up matches for $20 and won them both, then won a $20 turbo 9-person sit n go.
And for all the bankroll nazis out there, you'll be happy to hear that I have been playing some $5 sit n go's as well.

Hollywood Park
Sunday after all my fun sit n go success I really felt like playing a live tournament. So I went to HP and registered for the $25+10 rebuy tournament that starts at 11:30 a.m. I got there about fifteen minutes late but tripled up with 77 against Q-10 and A-Q, who both called my all-in pre-flop during the rebuy period. I bought the add-ons at the end of the rebuys (avoided ever rebuying) and was rolling along pretty well when there were about five tables left (I'm estimating the tournament started with like 30-40 tables). At this point we're playing with blinds at 500/1k with a 100 ante. Short to mid stacks are pushing all-in on every hand if they have king high, a pair, etc. The guy under the gun pushes all-in everyone folds, I look down and find aces. I obviously shove, he turns over J-10 offsuit. The door card is an ace, sweet. However, the other two cards are 8 and 9 and the river is a 7. Now my stack is cut in half and I pushed with Queen high in the big blind, got 10-8 and 7-8 to both call me and they both beat me. GG me. Only three tables paid and I was in the tourney for $75.
Here are a few pictures from the tournament:
Then I played a cash game and had the table chip leader figured out to a T when the perfect hand came up for me. I have 1010 and call his $25 raise, which he's been doing all night. I put him on an ace with a 9+ kicker. Flop comes 10-J-A. Perfect. In the 30 minutes that I've been at the table, he's been whining about people pushing all-in on him on the flop and says he won't take it anymore, so this is a great situation. He bets $50, I min-raise him to $100 and he pushes all-in. I call and he has AQ and rivers the king. GG me.

Right now I'm planning on really challenging myself online because I want to start getting a routine sleep schedule going for this weight-loss challenge so that I can wake up early and run. I can get more hands in and play a more flexible range of games on the net so it'll be fun to see if I can actually do something with a short bankroll on both sites.
