This weekend was extremely ugly on a few different fronts.
Not only was the weekend ugly, but I opened up the backdoor of my car to throw my gym bag in there this morning only to find that Faded T had thrown up all over the floor of the backseat (on Saturday night).
F$%K!
Somehow, I am not on life tilt right now.
I don’t even know where to begin about this weekend. It was long and nasty.
As seen in my previous post, I had big plans for the weekend. So Friday after work I headed to Hollywood Park and sat down at the $400. I lost $800 and left. I was at a table with a bunch of old bastards who very loudly evaluated every pot I won. I got in a hand with one of them where I had a K with two kings on the board unfortunately there was a ten on the board also and he had pocket tens. That was a wrap for me. So up to this point, I’m down $820 in 2.5 hours.
After HP, the fellas and I headed out to the “Trifecta Sports Bar” in downtown L.A. where our friend was throwing a club night. It was a pain in the ass getting in but we eventually did (for $20 each) and had a good time. I was drunk and let an old friend sleep in my living room because she was too drunk to go home. She reminded me how ridiculously annoying she is and I regretted letting her crash on my couch as soon as she opened her mouth. Here's the funny part about it. Look at how good she looks on her myspace page in the picture below. She looks nothing like that up close and personal and I'm proud to say that I did not touch her that night, she annoys me to no end. She is one of those chicks that has skewed life to no end and turned herself into a self-portrayed myspaced model/celebrity, but still lives at home with mom (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Saturday morning I slept until Saturday afternoon. I woke up and headed to a BBQ with Big Time and Ms. Big Time.
Actually let me rewind. Sometime during Saturday and I’m not sure when, I logged onto Full Tilt and dumped $150 or so. First I lost two buy-ins of $50 on .5/1 no limit tables, then I won it all back in head’s up play, then I lost it all back in head’s up play. So after that madness my online bankroll is at $83.
Now back to the BBQ. This was definitely the highlight of my weekend. A friend of mine named Stretch (who is Big Time’s best friend from college) was killed and his family has a BBQ every year when his son comes to town from Houston in July. I’ve missed the last two BBQ’s because I was out of town. It was good to see all my guys from Inglewood and Stretch’s family.

After the BBQ I headed to Hollywood Park, which was only about half a mile away from the BBQ. I started at 8 p.m., left at 10 p.m. and lost $575 in the process. At this point, I’ve played 4.5 hours and lost $1395.
That wasn’t even the worst part of the night. Faded T and I headed to a house party with my boys Mar and Tweez. Mar and Tweez were already drunk so when we got to the party I guess Faded T and I felt the need to catch up.
“Beer before liquor, never been sicker.”
I started with Tecate, followed with Hennessy and Cokes with a touch of Mary Jane and finished with my lunch and dinner on the sidewalk. I have never thrown up that much in my life. My eyes were tearing up I was hurling so hard. So after I’m done throwing up, I walk it off with a mean headache. Then I just go in the car and go to sleep. Meanwhile, Mar and Tweez are carrying Faded T to the car. As soon as he sits down he starts hurling in the street and also (as I found out this morning) on the floor of the backseat. We eventually made it home and Faded T crashed at the crib.
The only saving grace was that I pulled a bad one at the party before my stomach self destructed. She actually left the party just in the nick of time, beating my hurl fest out the door by about ten minutes.
I woke up Sunday morning and actually did something positive this weekend—two loads of laundry. Unfortunately, that was another missed goal for the weekend as I couldn’t bring myself to complete the four loads that I had envisioned.
I spent exactly six more hours at Hollywood Park and lost exactly $1200. This sessions was the ugliest of them all. I lost Queens to Aces when the flop came AQx. Then with pocket aces I re-raised a guy from his $40 to $140, then the in-between player called with 9-10 offsuit, flopped the 7-8 and called me all the way to catch his jack on the river when the other player had already folded JJ. It was just a bad session. So now I’m at -$2595 in 10.5 hours, not to mention another -$150 or so online in like two hours.
I don’t even want to talk about the baseball game. We lost by one run.
This weekend I played the role of donkey, drunken idiot, laundry boy, internet donkey, Sunday donkey, and whatever else you can name. I pretty much got felted all weekend long, which looks like this:
Let's just revisit my weekend goals:
1. Get the phone number of a dime: Okay I guess this I got done, kind of. I'm only gonna give her a 9.3 just because this weekend was such a failure.
2. Win $150 on Full Tilt. More like lose $150.
3. Four loads of laundry. Two loads, failed.
4. Clean my room. Not even close. Now with two clean loads on the bed, it's even messier.
5. Record song. Left the lyrics at work, didn't even think about this. The good thing is the guy running the tournament said I can turn it in tonight.
6. Get two hits in baseball. Zero hits, failed.
7. Win $1500 this weekend. More like lose $2700. Sweet. Failed.
Time to regroup and refocus…ugh..
Peace
