For those that don't know, I suck at online poker and I admit this. I don't know what it is, but I can't win. Well, obviously it's the way I play but based on the fact that I'm successful in live games I hate to think I'm a bad player. That's also based on the fact that I get my money in with the best most of the time. Okay so that answers my question: horrible bankroll management.
And the following details will only further support that notion.
Yesterday I played at lunch while I was also playing "Big Two" with my co-workers. I made like $50 on Full Tilt, taking my account from $83 to $130 on my lunch hour. That was solid. I was playing $.25/.50 no limit. Those stakes are too low to bore you with any hand details.
When I got home I started playing more cash games ($.5/1.00) and went up, then went down. I had pocket aces, went all-in on the flop of KQx and some guy called me with KJ and hit the king on the turn. F#$king bastard.
Very next hand I have AQ flop top two and he hits the flush on the river.
$#!%.
I immediately turned my computer off and now my account was at like $85 I believe. I had also played one $10 sit n go and placed third for a profit of like $6 or something. Brilliant!
Five minutes later I turned Full Tilt back on. I decided if I'm going busto with my online bankroll, now is the time (bankroll management?).
I entered a $33 sit n go and tried to get in a cash game but the cash games were all messed up, everyone was labeled as "Sitting Out."
On the very first hand of the sit n go I doubled up. This is looking great. Then the site crashes and I get fifteen pop-up messages that say tournaments are being delayed until x:xx a.m. Great. As soon as I start winning, they shut the servers down. Now I know why old people hate fooling with the intro-net.
Eventually they refunded my money and I fell asleep. With my laptop on my lap. And my left arm lodged under my back in a position that caused me enough pain at 4 a.m. to keep me awake for ten minutes because my arm was half broken/half asleep.
This morning I was still steaming from the server malfunction and wanted to know how much money I had in my account after that bullsheeeit. $99.94. Apparently I made money somewhere along the way from the $85.
Originally I had logged in just to check my account, but when I logged in I decided I wanted to steal a pot and get my account over $100. Yes, I'm an asshole.
I was looking at the table listings and one in particular stood out: $2/4 No Limit 1/2 players.
I sat in on the table and this guy started beating me. I sat in with my full $99 bankroll. He got me as low as $48 when I won back-to-back hands with 10-6s and A-Ks and took his $95. I'm sure he was pissed because I didn't let him reload. I was already running late and had played 15 more minutes than I planned.
So now my online BR is at $194. +95 in 20 minutes. Brilliant!
Tonight I'm going to play at Hollywood Park. I'm not setting weekend goals ever again, that was a disaster and it took me in painful flames of utter despair and disappointment.
This weekend is Big Bank Frank's birthday and it's about to go dowwwwwwwn. If anyone remembers the J.Ho story, that's where it's taking place. Hopefully she will make another all star appearance. Hahahaha... J.Ho. What a life she must live.
Peace in the Southeast streets of D.C.!
