Internet Plan Gone Bad

Well, hell.

The worst part of playing poker is telling people you lost. Poker is viewed as gambling to the general public but to a poker player, it is a game of skill. So it's very hard to say "Oh yeah it takes all skill. But I lost."

Well guess what? I lost.

My $50 internet bankroll is down the drain and now sitting at approximately $0.45, not even enough to buy into a $1.25 tournament. Not even enough to buy a damn double cheeseburger at Mickey fickey Donald's. Not even enough to buy my beloved two tacos at Jack in the Crack. Not even enough to satisfy my baby J-3 at work.

Do I suck? Probably. But here's the raw deal:

I take a gamble and buy into a $24 tournament when my bankroll was about $49. FIRST HAND I'm on the button and I get dealt pocket aces (for those that don't know, this is absolutely by far the best starting hand in texas hold 'em). THREE PEOPLE go all-in BEFORE I even act. Obviously I go all-in also and obviously I lose the first hand of the tournament to King-Jack suited. It was almost as if the poker gods were trying to turn me gay by saying "Here, take this King-Jack suited in the butthole and enjoy it!" Do it to me hard baby.

Anyways no more net poker. It was fun while it lasted for two weeks. I got it up to about $183 at it's peak and dropped down to $0.45 as of Sunday. I did rack up a lot of Full Tilt points on the sit n go's and tournaments so maybe I'll use those to try and get a free roll into something.

We shall see but for now it's back to live poker.
