After the game I went to HP to put my session in. The 200 NL game was packed again and I was deep on the list so I sat down at the $6/12 and lost $84. I have JT and call a pre-flop raise on the button. Five people in the hand and the flop comes 6TT. I bet the whole way with the original raiser calling me and the river is a king. He check raises me and says "how high is your kicker?" like I don't know he has pocket kings. Asshole. So I dumped $84 and moved to the 200 NL.
In the 200 NL I had a horrible player at my table who got me for two buy-ins when he went all-in on my pre-flop raise. I have 99 and call him knowing he sucks at life and he has A-8 sooooted and obviously flops the ace. Next time I flop two pair with two diamonds on the board, he goes all-in over my bet on the flop and turns the diamond. So I'm in for $500 right away and then I go pretty card dead but grind my way back to $500 when I flop set over set TT vs. 66 and actually river quads. Now I'm at $750 when the following entertainment ensues:
I'm in the big blind with 10d3d. So ugly and so pretty.
Bobby, who is a horrible/loose player at Hollywood Park and everyone knows him, says he's going all-in blind for $23 under the gun. Six people call him so I'm like "Okay I call too." Pot is $175 already and I have to put $18 in. Flop comes Jd4x8d.
Flush draw.
Everyone checks to the button, who bets $75 in what might be a steal attempt, might not be, but still gives me the odds to call. Then the small blind, who sucks (same guy who went took my first two buy-ins and is a horrible player, goes all-in for $99 ($24 over the original bet). I call, knowing that the button will call also. He calls.
Turn is a 3c. I come out and bet $100 to stop the button from betting huge or going all-in. He calls.
River is a 10! I bet another $100. He raises me to $300. Now I'm a little worried that he could have either JT or TT, but the way he raised was fishy, plus I'm too deep into the pot with no flush and and unlikely straight out there. The guy that raised me is a Vietnamese dealer and is pretty solid. I think he had me on a broken flush draw or just one jack and thought I would lay down. If he had a great hand, he would have went all in. I call and he says "Good call." And the table was in disbelief that I made runner-runner two pair.
Pot was (8x23=184) + (99x3=297) + (2x100=200) + (2x300=600) - 5 (rake) = 1276. The irony is Bobby's punk a$s showed pocket kings so he really wasn't all in blind. lol.
Was this as horrible a play as my table made it out to be? To their extreme discredit, only one person and the dealer realized I was on a flush draw off the flop. Two people were like "How do you call with 10-3 on that flop?"
On another note, the table broke shortly after and we decide to play one hand blind for $25 (five people). Flop comes KT2 all hearts. We haven't looked at our cards. Turn: 2. River: X.
First guy says "Deuce!" before he turns his first card over and turns over a deuce. Then he yells "Deuce!" and turns another one over. Quads. The guy on the button turns over Qh9h for the flopped flush. Funny stuff. After that I donked away $103 on the $40 NL (1/2 blinds) sitting with my boy and some fine chick he was crackin' at. I lost, he lost. He got the ultimate tease when she invited him to sit by her and then ignored him for 45 minutes.
Time to prepare for this Vegas trip, I have a good feeling heading into this weekend. As the 10-3 hand proved, I'm on a sick heater and cannot be stopped barring a natural disaster.
